Tips for painting a bicycle?
I have an idea of painting the picture of the bicycle as an art project. Paint some simple designs on it maybe. How I do this so it's not too expensive? What kind of paint should I use or would simply cover some kind of varnish? I do not want to remove easily. Any advice?
Art project, sounds like fun. Clean the surface, make sure you have all grease, oil, wax then have at it. nail polish, paint shop model hobby, aerosol cans hardware store all going to work. I would avoid latex (water based) paints. You want some paint thinner to clean up. Care, nail polish remover may remove the paint of your bike. You can try putting a final coat of clear acrylic spray transparent about the whole frame to give a bit more protection to their work and give a uniform brightness. Test each application in a discreet way for compatibility.
