Is it possible to buy only the frame of a bicycle which a company sells as a complete bike?

I'm looking for a bicycle frame so you can build a bicycle from the ground. It's basically just for the heck of it, but I want to build a good bike that I use – mostly for commuting and around the city with children, sometimes pulling a trailer. I have a hybrid and comfort Del Sol and I really like the geometry. So I'm looking for the same type of frameworks, but all the big enterprises of the website only show complete bike, not just the frames. It is always possible to buy a bike within a company sells as a complete bike? Do you have a website you can recommend for good prices on bicycle frames or team?

Yes ….. almost all manufacturers offer a choice of frame of only …… can not get the colors in the production itself, but usually available. If not listed on their website web, then ask a local dealer and they can get prices for the model you are interested in. There are some that do not offer frames, but most ago. I do not know if you are looking for a road or mountain frame, but here is a good couple of sites that have some stellar offerings in the frames from time to time: http://www.jensonusa.com, http://www.wheelworld.com, http://www.pricepoint.com. You can also try NASHBAR and performance of some low-end boxes. In addition, do not forget to ask local shops what they have available …. sometimes have tables in the back that no one knows about unless you ask. Hope this helps, good luck! : O)

Bicycle Tricks & Repair : How to Determine the Correct Frame Size for a Bike

bicycle frame fit

bicycle frame fit

Choosing the right size road bike can be tricky, because not all fit the same. Two companies that appear as models of the same size can have very different measures. Depending on the company, I walk anywhere in a 52 cm to 56 cm frame. All these have the same top tube length. Do not think because you travel in a given size of a company that can only get the same size as the other and have to adjust to it.

When a company shows the size of a road bike frame is a variation of the length of the seat tube. The measurements start from the center of the bottom bracket, but can be at several points to the seat tube. That point may be the center of the tube top, top tube top, top of the seat tube or some virtual point is not even in the frame. Add upper tubes to the slope and this can get very complicated.

To compare the size of the frames that you should look at the effectiveness of the upper tube length and duration steering tube. This will give an indication of the extent and height can be obtained from the bar. With a road bike, where you can stand on top tube with flat feet have sufficient clearance crotch to the extent and height of the stack are much more important.

As no road bars take place you need to ensure that a given frame and fork combination allows you to get the bar high enough in relation to the seat height. You can use the stems with some increase, but there are only a few more features than seventeen degrees of increase, particularly for the over sized handlebars that are standard nowadays. If the choice between two models that have a slightly different top tube length can be compensated with a stem longer or shorter. One point to keep in mine is that the direction of carbon tubes can be spaced only about 30-40 mm before the risk of causing damage. Too high and there is the risk snapping off the fork while driving.

When you calculate a frame size for a client who will take action inseam length, the length torso, arm length and shoulder width. Then I will do a structural assessment to look at flexibility and core strength. From these data I calculate very closely what frame geometry works better. Once the bike is built we take care of the set-up for the custom installation session.

When you are trying to find a good size on their own, find a bike shop that will take your measurements and shape the scope and the height of the stack you need. If you are buying a bike they will probably have to pay for this service, but well worth it. You can also search by size calculators online that give instructions on how to take your measurements and calculate the correct size.

If you want to ride comfortably and as fast as your potential will allow you need to be fit properly and this starts with your frame. For more information on bike fitting and sizing go to my site http://www.cyclecambridge.com.
